Attending the New Adobe RIA UG

Rich Internet Application (RIA) development is one of those areas that has a huge amount of promise, especially if, like me, you could do without the dubious pleasure of fighting various flavors of JavaScript, HTML and CSS support...

If that was the only reason then I'd still be looking forward to attending the forthcoming user group meeting on RIA applications with Adobe technologies, but when you couple that with some of the most interesting speakers in the domain then it's an easy call.

Taking place in Clerkenwell at the Skills Matter offices, the inaugural meeting of the Adobe RIA user group is taking place on the19th August with Andrew Shorten, Chief Evangelist at Adobe, taking center stage to give the group an "Introduction to Flex".

There's such momentum behind these technologies that the second user group meeting has already been scheduled for 23rd September, usual place, where Ben Forsaith & Richard Curtis (I don't *think* it's that one...) with give everyone an "Introduction to BlazeDS & LiveCycleDS".

As always, attendance at the user groups is free and there's always great conversation and beer in The Crown after the events. To attend one or both of these meetings all you have to do is signup at the links below:

Hope you can make it and I look forward to seeing you there!
